Elevated Water Storage Tanks
Rehoboth Beach, Delaware
Davis, Bowen & Friedel, Inc, provided engineering services for the construction of two elevated water storage tanks and tank foundations for the City of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. A 1,000,000 gallon composite tank was constructed on the main trunk line of the water distribution system, and a 500,000 gallon pedestal tank was constructed at the site of the existing elevated storage tank. These two tanks replaced an existing 250,000 gallon double ellipsoidal tank and a 165, 000 riveted standpipe that had deteriorated beyond the point of cost effective repair.
In addition to engineering, services provided for this project included construction administration and resident project representation.
