Water System Study and Design
Berlin, Maryland
The water system study for the Town of Berlin included computer modeling, system mapping and hydrant flow testing for the purpose of making improvement recommendations to the Town. The study concluded with the need to install approximately 15,000 LF of new main to eliminate dead-end lines and provide better fire flow to the southern end of the Town. Also included was the recommendation and design for replacement of a deteriorated 75,000-gallon standpipe tank with a new 250,000-gallon elevated storage tank. Project funding was requested through the Rural Development Administration (RDA).
