Wastewater Facilities Management Plan
Dover, Delaware

Geographic Information Systems (GIS) services were integrated with engineering analyses to provide the City with a comprehensive look at its wastewater management system. The project included adding a GIS tax parcel base to an existing City-wide utility Auto CAD file and field checking and correcting locations of all wastewater pumping stations, interceptor sewers, force mains and gravity lines, and manhole locations. Analysis of the sewer system’s capacity included quantification of pump station utilization, delineation of catchment sub-basins, calculations of existing and 20-year projections of flows, and hydraulic modeling of critical interceptor sewers.
