Davis, Bowen & Friedel, Inc., is working with the Town’s administrative staff and community leaders to update Berlin’s Comprehensive Plan. Berlin’s process is characterized by having active stakeholder participation, along with advisory input from the Planning Commission, the Utility Commission and Town staff. Integrated into the new update will be elements to address House Bill 1141 and House Bill 2 legislation, including drafting the Town’s Water Resource and Municipal Growth Elements. Berlin’s future growth is dependent on maintaining the existing workforce housing supply and addressing issues in the Town’s active African-American community. As such, Davis, Bowen & Friedel, Inc., is addressing these issues by creating a Workforce Housing Element for the Town and an extensive public participation program that specifically reaches out to the Town’s minority population.
Additionally, Davis, Bowen & Friedel, Inc.’s, Senior Planner currently provides on-call services as the interim Superintendent of Planning for the Town of Berlin. Our staff is involved in the day-to-day administration of the Planning & Zoning Department. Our staff also acts as the Town Engineer for Berlin - providing plan review services, water & wastewater services, and monitors industrial wastewater compliance. |
