Maryland Economic Development Corporation (MEDCO) Industrial Facility
Pocomoke, Maryland
This project consisted of the design and construction of a 42,000 SF speculative office/industrial building located in the Pocomoke Industrial Park. The preengineered metal building includes architectural amenities and one tenant office with HVAC, plumbing and electric. The remaining balance of the building was designed to have lighting, basic electric services, and floor slab. The project also included a geotechnical evaluation, as well as boundary and topographic surveys.
Davis, Bowen & Friedel, Inc., provided site engineering for this project, including grading, paving for road and parking, stormwater management on site per Town requirements and SCS approval, water and sewer connections, site lighting and landscaping. Bid and construction phase services were also provided.
Similar MEDCO projects include services for facilities in Princess Anne, Cambridge and in Garrett County.

Food Processing, Storage and Distribution Facility
Salisbury, Maryland
Architectural and structural engineering services were provided for the following structures: Dry storage addition: a steel frame and metal panel building for storage of paper goods, Engineering/Maintenance Building: A steel frame and metal panel building houses all engineering offices and maintenance shops, Process Addition: A steel frame and concrete masonry building was an addition to the facility's food processing and production lines, Blast Freezer: Design of a post-tensioned concrete structure, glycol system and insulated panels for -30ºF freezer.
Davis, Bowen & Friedel, Inc., also prepared an architectural/engineering report for the planning, design, and construction of a proposed food processing, storage and distribution facility to be located in the Guangzhow Economic and Technological Development Zone, Guangdong Province, China. |
