Atlantic Sands
Rehoboth Beach, Delaware
Visually, the design team chose to draw from the hotel’s name, looking to utilize color, shape, and texture of materials to promote the notion of water and sand. Curvilinear sea green glass was introduced as an overlay of balcony rails and curtain-glass windows. These materials were transparent, revealing stucco walls of sand pebble color beyond. The streetscape result is both striking and sensual, and leads the visitor successfully to the main entrance of the hotel. Interior materials continue the theme to within, and the captured ocean views are magnificent. |
