Gerald G. Friedel, P.E.

Mr. Friedel has 34 years of experience in project planning, design and contract administration.  His areas of expertise include site engineering, major site design, stormwater management and parking and road construction.  He is also experienced in water distribution, storage, and treatment, and wastewater collection and treatment facilities.  Mr. Friedel serves as on-call engineer to several large towns offering administrative, financial, design and project construction phase services. He works regularly with multiple funding programs and coordinates the processing and reimbursement from such funds.  Currently, Mr. Friedel is a member of the Maryland Rural Water Association, the American Water Works Association and the Water Pollution Control Federation.

Mr. Wigley serves Davis, Bowen & Friedel, Inc., as a managing principal which oversees the architecture and administrative departments.  He has over 25 years experience in the preparation of feasibility studies, architectural design of new buildings, building renovations, and land planning.  He has managed the design efforts of both large and small-scale projects.  Architectural projects have included museums; schools; banks; commercial, office and government buildings; multi- and single-family residential properties, and recreational facilities.  Land planning efforts have included single use sites to large-scale multi-use communities.  Achievements have included design project awards and project recognition in national publications.

 

Randy B. Duplechain, P.E.

Mr. Duplechain has 22 years of engineering experience in project management, design and contract administration, specializing in residential, commercial, and institutional planning and design, utility evaluations, stormwater management and drainage designs, site planning, street rehabilitation, waterfront restoration and development work.  Having managed a construction material testing office for three years prior to joining Davis, Bowen & Friedel, Inc., Mr. Duplechain has extensive experience in geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing and inspection.

 

Charles R. Woodward, Jr.

Mr. Woodward has 33 years of experience in topographic, boundary, and construction surveying for projects such as site planning for building projects, stormwater management and drainage designs, street and parking lot design and rehabilitation, and utility design.  He is also experienced in the utilization of data collection, GPS and computerized topographic network for determining quantities of dredged material. 

 

Charles A. Hauser, P.E.

Mr. Hauser has more than 14 years of engineering experience and has managed projects from preliminary planning through construction completion.  His expertise includes water supply, treatment, storage, and wastewater collection and treatment.  His water and wastewater treatment background has included SBR systems, nutrient removal for stream discharge and groundwater treatment.  He has assisted numerous clients with permit and funding applications for municipal water and sewer, greenways and main street renovation projects.  Mr. Hauser serves as on‑call engineer for several Sussex County, Delaware municipalities, including the Towns of Selbyville, Greenwood and Dagsboro.  Mr. Hauser is a registered professional engineer in Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania.

Ms. Williams has more than 21 years of sanitary engineering experience in wastewater and water systems including engineering studies, wastewater treatment plant design, project management, and contract administration for municipalities and industries.  Extensive experience in design of wastewater treatment plants, collection systems, and plant operations evaluations.  Extensive knowledge of biological nutrient removal processes utilizing activated sludge and fixed film processes.

W. Zachary Crouch, P.E.

Mr. Crouch has 12 years of experience in engineering, construction inspection, project administration, and surveying.  His engineering background includes site design, sewer design, stormwater management design, transportation system design, and water system design.

Michael E. Wheedleton, AIA

Mr. Wheedleton, who joined Davis, Bowen, & Friedel, Inc. in 1991, has 14 years of experience and is director of architecture for our Milford, Delaware office. He has served as project architect for many federal, state and municipal jobs. These include work for the National Naval Medical Center, the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, the Lower Shore DRILL Academy, Atlantic Sands Hotel, Dover Air Force Base and numerous renovation projects for the State of Delaware Department of Health and Social Services.  He has acted as project manager in a variety of new building and renovation projects throughout Maryland, Delaware, Virginia and Pennsylvania
