Our Work

Geographic Information Systems

Geographic Information System (GIS) applications are used extensively by Davis, Bowen & Friedel, Inc., for digitizing of municipal infrastructure, project planning and preliminary design, hazard vulnerability assessments, and preparation of maps for grant and permit applications. Through our role as water and wastewater engineer for many municipalities, Davis, Bowen & Friedel, Inc., has developed a significant in-house database of geographically-referenced information. Our GIS software includes the most-recent release of ArcView and AutoCAD Map 2000. In combination, these tools have allowed us to consolidate available environmental and geopolitical data, property information, municipal maps and digitized information into integrated data sets for analysis and map production.
